What this app does
Spend2Sheet is a web app for people who keep their expenses in a spreadsheet. Upload a receipt, invoice or bill as a photo, a PDF, or typed text. Spend2Sheet reads it, pulls out the date, vendor, amount and currency, and writes them as a new row in a Google Sheet inside your own Google Drive. The original file is saved to a folder in that same Drive and linked from the row. There is no separate inbox or ledger to learn. The spreadsheet in your Drive is the product.
Why Spend2Sheet asks for access to your Google account
Signing in uses your name, email address and profile picture, so the app knows whose spreadsheet is whose. Separately, on its own screen after you have seen the app work, Spend2Sheet asks for permission to create and update one folder and one spreadsheet in your Google Drive. That is where your expenses are written and where your uploaded files are stored.
It requests a single Google Drive permission, drive.file, which grants access only to files the app itself creates or that you explicitly pick. Spend2Sheet cannot list, read or modify anything else in your Drive. Google enforces that limit, not our promise.
